Discussion

theatre | concrete

On September 25th, as part of the Tallinn Architecture Biennale, the Estonian Theatre Agency and the Estonian Centre for Architecture will host a seminar day titled “theatre | concrete,” which will focus on the impact of architecture on both people and aesthetics in theatre. Although budget discussions often tend to pit people against concrete, the goal of the event is to transcend this opposition and analyze how theatre practitioners and theatrical spaces work together. How does architecture shape the methods, forms, and audiences of theatre-making? The topic will be explored through seven presentations and a discussion, in which all interested parties are welcome to participate.

The event will take place at Tallinn City Hall (Linnahall), beginning at 15:00; admission with the ticket to the Architecture Biennale’s curatorial exhibition “How Much Does It Cost?”. A limited number of tickets are on presale at Fienta.
