Louis I. Kahn Film Days in Kuressaare

A film festival dedicated to Kahn’s legacy and architecture will take place in Kuressaare from September 14–27, 2026, as part of the events commemorating the 125th anniversary of Kahn’s birth. This is a multifaceted cultural and educational project that combines architecture, film, and public discourse.

At the heart of this project are screenings of documentaries related to Kahn (My Architect: A Son’s Journey; Louis Kahn’s Tiger City; Silence and Light, etc.), complemented by lectures, discussions, and school screenings. The film program brings architectural heritage to the public in an accessible way and helps interpret Kahn’s work in both a professional and a broader cultural context.
